This is the shortest month of the year but trust us, there is no shortage of things to do in Pittsburgh. In fact, the biggest problem for our Pittsburgh Transportation Service has been narrowing down on three interesting events you can partake in. Fight the urge to hibernate as you probably have this January; break the monotony and shake away the January blues by checking out these awesome events.

Interiors with Impact

The Steel City has always supported its unique ecosystem of designer shops and craft businesses. Local entrepreneurs and producers make attractive, innovative, and useful products that you will get to check out at the Interiors with Impact event. The businesses taking part in this event have worked to reinvent manufacturing in the 21st Century, and you will get to sample and purchase a wide variety of products that are sure to brighten the rest of 2018. Products at this event range from furniture to lighting and even wallpaper. All the businesses featured hand-craft their products to bring about unique, durable, and well-designed products. Whether you are looking for impressive pendant lights for your home, a unique set of ceramic cups for a loved one, or beautiful wallpaper that will transform your house, the Interiors with Impact exhibition is the place to be. Admission to this event is totally free for all. The event kicks off on the 28th of February from 10 am, lasting throughout the day so don’t be late, don’t miss out.

Bike the Burgh Tours

Grab a friend and tour Pittsburgh on a bicycle on the 4th of February. This is a unique opportunity to tour the city in an unconventional but more intimate way. Participants will ride through the cultural downtown district, the strip district, and the South and North sides of the city. You will also go through Oakland where you will get to sample various museums and universities as well as the beautiful mansions in Shadyside. The tour will also involve lectures on the history of the city and you will get to meet and learn about some of the people who have played significant roles in growing the city. This unique event will last 3 hours and is scheduled to begin at Penn Avenue Convention Center in Downtown Pittsburgh and you can either bring your own bike or rent one at the starting point.

Black Tie Bingo Fundraising Gala

This event is scheduled for the 10th of February at The Fez, a well-known special event venue in the city. Join other participants for this elegant fundraising event geared at benefiting local senior citizens. The event will include a dinner buffet, live music entertainment, basket raffles, a cash bar, a silent auction, and bingo calling games hosted by celebrity guests. Prizes to be won are no lower than $100, so it might be a good opportunity to win yourself a nice souvenir.
