4 Great Family Holiday Outings in Pittsburgh

Pittsburgh is commonly referred to as America’s most livable city and our Pittsburgh limo service has to agree. There is amazing history ready to be discovered, great food, tax-limited shopping, and a rich culture. The ‘Burgh is also a great place to explore with family. In this post, we would like to share some of the best holiday outing activities you can share with your loved ones.

Consider hiring our Pittsburgh transportation service. We know traveling with the family can be quite hectic; between trying to navigate heavy traffic, finding parking spaces, and making sure the kids are behaving, we know you could always use some extra help and we are here for you. With our service, all you have to do is kick back, relax, and fully enjoy the company of the gang as we drive you to any one of these awesome locations.

Carnegie Science Center

Do your kids have curious minds? If so, they will absolutely love Carnegie Science Centre. This science center has numerous technology-inclined exhibits that are fun for kids of all ages. Carnegie Center covers an entire four floors, all filled with exhibits that include a Roboworld, which is the largest permanent robotics exhibit in the world. Other popular displays include a Cold War-era submarine, the laser show, and a four-story domed Omnimax theater that offers guests live demonstrations all day long.

Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens

This is a collection of 19 distinct gardens. Some of the gardens are indoors under stunning glass domes. There are numerous glass sculptures designed by Dale Chihuly that decorate the floral beds. During the warmer months you will also find live butterflies flying freely around the gardens. To explore this vast expanse, you will need an average of 90 minutes, and for the kids who can’t keep up, there is a spot down at the cobblestone path where they can play and explore.

The Toonseum

The Toonseum is perfect for kids who are into cartoons, comics, and graphic art. The Toonseum displays original works of cartoon art that is infused with dynamic programming in an attempt to popularize this unsung art form. We, however, recommend the Toonseum for kids above the age of ten because they can recognize and appreciate the creativity behind comic and cartoon arts; younger kids would be more intrigued by motion cartoons, which are not displayed at the Toonseum. Try dressing the kids up in their favorite cartoon costumes and head on down to Liberty Avenue for some cartoon fun.

Andy Warhol Museum

The Andy Warhol Museum is a must-visit for anyone living or visiting the Steel City. The Warhol Museum would be especially intriguing to teenagers who are most in tune with pop culture; they would get to experience the works of art of the very person who made pop culture popular. We recommend that you don’t leave this place without visiting the beautiful cloud room that is filled with numerous helium-filled balloons.
