Best Rooftop Bars in Pittsburgh

We are at that time of the year where the holiday is fading away, but not quite yet, right? Christmas is still fresh in our minds and you might feel the urge to go to a place where you can relax and savor whatever’s left of the Christmas spirit. If that sounds like something you would like to do, our Pittsburgh Limo Service has prepared a short list of great rooftop bars in Pittsburgh where you and your friends can head to enjoy a cocktail or a margarita. We hope you enjoy them.

Redfin Blues

Head over to Herrs Island in Pittsburgh to the Redfin Blues where you will get to experience open-air dining and enjoy a drink while you are at it. The scenery from the Redfin rooftop offers a wonderful view of the beautiful Washington’s landing skyline as well as a view of the boats on the waters of the Washington’s Landing Marina. You will find plenty of seafood on the menu and chances are that you will want to experience a boat ride after a while on the rooftop deck.

New Amsterdam

The New Amsterdam rooftop had been closed for a while and it only recently reopened. The wait, however, was worth it for Pittsburgh natives. The new place is spacious and there is enough space for you to hang out with your friends without necessarily having to bump into other groups of people. One thing they haven’t changed, however, is their drink specials, which are just as amazing as they had always been.

Biergarten

Biergarten is located on the rooftop of Hotel Monaco, and it is a whopping 9 stories above ground, so it is not recommended for anyone with vertigo. This rooftop spot specializes in German cuisine and beer from all over Europe. They also let guests enjoy various games such as a massive connect four and a large Jenga. So, you and your companions are guaranteed loads of fun if you head up there.

II Tetto

II Tetto is located in Pittsburgh’s Cultural District and offers guests a beautiful urban oasis. II Tetto boasts picturesque views of the Pittsburgh skyline and has a classic brick wall design where dimly lit lights hang from to create the perfect atmosphere. There are over 40 brands of beer to choose from and a variety of cocktails and wines. The bar also has a gourmet menu for whenever you feel hungry, or you can head on down to the Emporio and Mezzo restaurants downstairs for a selection of some classic American dishes.

Steel Cactus

Head on down to Steel Cactus Shadyside for some potent margaritas and to interact with a young vibrant crowd. This rooftop bar hosts several events and parties and you might want to plan your visit around an event you would be interested in, so head on to their website. Note, however, only head to Steel Cactus if you are looking for a rave-style hangout, otherwise head on to the more chilled options on this list.
